Kay J Dickerson, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, February 1, , at the age of Kay is preceded in death by his wife, Ila, parents, seven brothers, and two sisters. He is survived by his brother Ken and sister-in-law Earlene. In , Kay married the love of his life, Ila Jean Walker.
They were later sealed in the temple on February 25, He was happiest when surrounded by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A graduate of Brigham Young University with a degree in engineering, Kay had a long and fulfilling career with Hercules until his retirement. Never one to remain idle, he also dedicated his time and talents to his community, managing and caring for the local swimming pool White Towers , with the White City Township, and serving as a temple worker.
Kay was a man of many skills and passions. He earned his small engine pilot license and had a love for adventure, including camping, golfing, or playing softball. He loved to bake birthday cakes, make Christmas candy, was an avid Dutch oven cook, and made the best homemade ice cream.
Kay had a special love for frozen treats and never passed up a bowl of ice cream or a popsicle and always shared generously with his family. His kindness, generosity, and hardworking nature left an enduring impact on his family and community.
Though he will be deeply missed, his influence will live on through the countless lives he touched. We sincerely thank all those that helped to care for Kay over the last several years, and especially the last several weeks. It has been a great blessing, and he has been surrounded by love. Oh what a sweet, sweet man. He will be missed. I was thinking of him alot lately. I guess now I know why.
