All the usual locations under the hood are taken up by other things. I thought one of the two kits that mount it behind the grille, but have concerns about the location during various activities.
It's still an option though. Ideas welcome here, too. I actually think we're down to one company making a behind the grille option now. Desert Does It underseat. That area is taken up as well. There's also conflicting information on whether the dual compressor will fit under there.
Moot point either way. So I've been eyeing the rear cubby. I was curious to see if anyone had done this so I can get some ideas. This won't be something I can take days to mess with. I have to pull out my packed drawers to figure things out.
So any ideas to speed the process would be great. I've only gotten as far as a universal mount with the possibility of adding some very strong magnets. I have a feeling this won't work well because the area behind the plastic isn't flat.
Good luck Mike. I keep it simple. I have a portable compressor. Captain Spalding and Saker like this. That would be helpful, huh? It's an ARB dual compressor. As far as under the hood, all the normal places are taken up. The passenger side space has the secondary air pump re-located there so I could relocate the washer reservoir into the space at the front of the engine bay. The driver's side area has a switch panel brain thing there.
