A MAN has been charged after a person was allegedly spotted outside a Scots primary school with a weapon. Parents rushed to the school , which is on Dick Road in the town centre, to pull their children out after news of the alleged incident.
Inspector Jonathan Leitch said: "We were made aware of reports of a man with a weapon in the Loanhead Street area of Kilmarnock on Monday, 27 January, It comes just two weeks after copes were called to another Scots school after two 'intruders' gained access. Cops attended Cleveden Secondary School in the Kelvindale area of the city after the incident sparked a worried alert.
The school issued an alarming email to parents informing them of the incident before assuring them that everyone was safe. The email stated that two people who are "not associated" with the school had "gained access" to the building.
