She joined the medical staff of Schneck in A native of Seymour, Dr. Gilbert ran cross country and track, played basketball, and was a member of the marching and concert bands at Seymour High School. She knew she wanted to be a physician after an EMT course in college. When asked what she most enjoys about being a doctor in Seymour she said, "I enjoy the camaraderie of the physicians and staff, relationships with patients, and the opportunity to practice the specialty I enjoy in my hometown.
