It was a well-played match! Ahead at the break thanks to a great goal from Golovin, they managed to score another to secure their 19th victory of the season. They consolidated their hold fourth place before their big match against Lille next Sunday. After suffering consecutive defeats to Lens and Montpellier , the Rouge et Blanc were eager to bounce back. And in this match against bottom side Angers, who have already been relegated, there was a real chance to get back to winning ways.
Especially as, in case of a win, AS Monaco would move five points ahead of Lille in fourth , before hosting them in the Principality next Sunday. To end this poor run of form, Philippe Clement decided to make several changes.
