We are committed to setting the ticket price for our events at the very minimum that is possible to cover the costs, and we attempt to provide free tickets on request for those who otherwise could not come. For the past events, wherever possible we provide links to recordings or transcripts of the talks. The caveat is that unlike most webcamming sites, OF does not promote creators or send traffic to their content, meaning they are on their own.
Women are caught up in a gladiatorial-style race not only against each other, but also with films of atrocities, like the recent combat death of a Ukrainian soldier. This begs the question of where it will end and what is the real cost. In this webinar, OnlyFans survivor, Roxie Roots , and feminist activist, Elly Arrow , will discuss how OnlyFans works and ask what all of this means for women, for men, for children, and for wider society.
This workshop was aimed at anyone who cares for, or works with, children and young people. It outlined an up-to-date context of pornography and the sex trade and suggested practical strategies for: having age-appropriate conversations about pornography and the sex trade; encouraging children and young people to speak up if they feel unsafe; and supporting children and young people to recognise the harms of pornography and the sex trade.
At what cost? Speakers included women with lived experience of the sex and surrogacy industries and other experts. There were interactive workshops on a range of related themes and opportunities to discuss solutions and how to be part of a movement for change.? This event challenged the idea that prostitution is a normal job, not much different from waitressing or care work. We heard from women who have been there β how actually, being paid to have sex with multiple strangers a day is in fact very different from serving coffees and emptying bedpans.
