Israeli bombardment and airstrikes continued during the past 24 hours. MoH reported fewer fatalities compared with the previous three days. Before the telecommunications shutdown, Israeli forces carried out another two ground operations in the north and south of Gaza.

Rescue teams, primarily from the Palestinian Civil Defense, are struggling to carry out their mission, amid continuous airstrikes, severe shortage of fuel to run vehicles and equipment, and with limited or no connection to mobile networks. According to the MoH in Gaza, as of 27 October, Palestinian families had lost ten or more of their members, Palestinian families had lost 6 to 9 members, and families had lost two to five of their members.
According to the Israeli military, between 7 and 21 October, Palestinian rockets fell short in Gaza, killing Palestinians. The Gaza Ministry of Public Works and Housing reported the destruction of 16, housing units and the rendering of 11, other units uninhabitable, as of 23 October. About , housing units sustained minor to moderate damage.
