Mont Saint Michel is a French village in Normandy km from Paris , located on a small hill, where an abbey dedicated to St. Michael the Archangel was built.
The legend says that St. Michael the Archangel himself asked the Bishop of Avranches to build a small church in this place in At the top of the abbey, there is a statue of St. Michael the Archangel killing the dragon, which symbolizes Evil. During the French Revolution, Mont Saint-Michel lost its religious context and became a prison until In it was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. Although Place de la Bourse is beautiful in itself, it has gained even more prominence in the city's landscape with the construction of a water mirror that reflects its beautiful architecture.
Besides the aesthetic aspect, this mirror is cool because on hot days both children and adults have fun playing in the water. What's more, the fountain has three different effects: reflection, mist and pool 2cm of water. Consecrated in , the church has since never ceased to attract visitors and pilgrims from all over the world. The architecture of Mont Saint Michel and its bay make it the most frequented tourist site in Normandy and the second most frequented in France after Paris.
