Directly Notify the Election Department. Address Changes and "Inactive" Status. Several options are available for updating your address: 1 If you have a Nevada Driver's License or Nevada State Identity Card, you may change your address online at the Nevada Secretary of State's website; 2 Log in to Registered Voter Services and select Change My Address from the dropdown menu to complete and print a form to mail; 3 During the check-in process at any early voting site or Election Vote Center of your choice, you may update your address; or 4 You may also call VOTE to request a form for updating your address.
By updating your address by one of these options, you may make your registration "active" again if it has become "inactive. Inactive voters may still vote as long as they meet all other legal voting requirements. However, the Election Department will stop sending inactive voters election-related mail, such as mail ballots, sample ballots, and voter registration cards. You must then re-register to vote again.
