Kirkland, 88, Clayton passed away Tuesday morning, October 17, , in Syracuse. Kirkland Sr. Ackerman Kirkland and he attended Clayton schools. A marriage to Elvira Gushlaw ended in divorce. From to he served his country in the US Army. He was a self employed carpenter and mason and later worked as a delivery driver for River Rat Cheese.
He enjoyed casino trips, playing the lottery, and gardening. He was a 13 Run Pool member and was an avid Yankees fan. Duellman and husband Robert, Clayton and Kandi J. Kirkland and wife Jacqueline, Watertown; sister Elsie I. Zehr, Watertown; his current companion, Betty Willoughby and her family, Clayton; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with his parents, Frank was predeceased by two brothers, James W. Zehr, ; and former companion, Selma Calhoun.
