What do you enjoy most about being in the RSNO? The warmth of the musicians and management team, and the collective desire to bring music of the highest possible quality and enjoyment to the public.
Lovely, no? I love experiencing good food and wine with my husband, family and friends. And great art, architecture and cinema. And beautiful countryside. And travelling for all these pleasures. Do you have any hidden talents? Hmm, that would be tellingβ¦ no, thought about it, not much! What would they be, and why? Bach Goldberg Variations β how could one not? I then moved to London for post-graduate studies at the Royal Academy of Music. The recent tour to the States. Beautiful weather, amazing views of Arizona and California, and I thought the orchestra sounded marvellous in one of my favourite pieces β Prokofiev 5th Symphony.
Where are you from? I was born in the south of Hungary in Szeged. I studied at the F. Having the chance and flexibility to play chamber music because in my opinion it contributes invaluable qualities to being a true musician and to be able to keep those qualities alive and contribute and feel them in the orchestra. Also the comradeship and team spirit. I find the RSNO members have a wicked sense of humor! Lots of things. I love playing chamber music especially with my quartet. Also, cooking, jogging by the river, swimming, skiing, studying symbolic modelling, watching good films and oh yes β going out for curry! If you could have dinner with anyone alive or dead who would it be, and why?
