Two people were arrested in connection to sex trafficking a runaway girl, the Citrus Heights Police Department said Thursday. Kayla Randall, 19, was taken into custody last month and Keiyonte Davis, 20, was arrested Wednesday, police said.
They are accused of forcing the girl into prostitution. Police said Davis befriended the girl, who then ran away from home on Aug. Randall helped him traffic the victim, investigators added. About three weeks after the girl went missing, police found her at a hotel in Sacramento County and rescued her.
No other details about the victim will be released, police said. Police also found Randall in the hotel room with the victim, along with digital evidence and drugs. Then about a month later, police obtained an arrest warrant for Davis and took him into custody. Watch on Demand. Press enter to search Type to Search.
