Obviously it has great historical importance and wonderful displays in the museum. But, the highlight is to spend an hour travelling along the tracks. Great for children and adults alike. It's a good course run by amateurs. Make sure you check when they are open as it is frequently limited.
But, treat yourself, your worth it. Love this place! Authentic and lots of history as well as a scenic ride down the track. Make sure you build in enough time to visit the museum too. Staff passionate about what they do and all very helpful. What a great surprise. Interesting and varied journey and nice little museum. An interesting place and a pleasant ride on the train.
