Whether you're a seasoned pro or just looking to have some fun on the rink, we've got a league for you. Our Lower, Middle, and Upper divisions offer a range of skill levels, so everyone can join in on the action.
Safety is our top priority, so absolutely no checking or slap shots allowed. We strictly enforce USA Hockey rules across all divisions and have a zero-tolerance policy for fighting. With games lasting about an hour, it's the perfect way to get your adrenaline pumping. Players can choose one league to participate in, with the season lasting approximately 13 games. Open to players 18 years old and up, it's time to hit the ice and let the good times roll!
For those seeking a more casual experience with less commitment, be sure to check out our Drop-In Hockey sessions for flexible, no-strings-attached fun on the ice!
The Fargo Park District recreational leagues do not allow checking or slap shots. Fighting will not be tolerated. USA Hockey rules are used for all divisions. All games are approximately one hour. Players are only allowed to play in one league. Teams will play approximately 13 games. Captains also much communicate to their teams that no player is allowed on the ice or in the player bench area until the zamboni is finished resurfacing and the doors are closed. A minimum of 10 players and a maximum of 20 players are allowed on a given roster unless permission to exceed that number is requested in writing to the League Supervisor and subsequently approved by the League Supervisor.
All players on a given roster must meet the required age of 18 by the first game of the season for the league. A player may not be on two rosters in the same league, and is not allowed to play in both the Novice League and the No Check League. All players must wear matching or similar jerseys. In the event of similar jersey colors, the team with less players wears pullovers. Mandatory equipment include regulation hockey helmet, shin guards, elbow pads, stick and hockey skates.
