One of the oldest community colleges in California, MJC has two main campuses in the city of Modesto and serves more than 18, day and evening students each semester. Located near the city of Sonora in the wooded Sierra Nevada foothills, Columbia College is a primary resource of adult learning for residents throughout the Mother Lode region.
Following a national search, the Board of Trustees and Chancellor Henry Yong are pleased to announce the selection of Dr. Sanders' appointment is pending final approval of his employment contract, to be considered at the next Board of Trustees meeting on January 10, The search committee selected four finalists for the position of Modesto Junior College President. The President of Modesto Junior College is responsible for and directs the operation of the institution through subordinate instructional and operational administrators.

Final Candidates visit the College and participate in a variety of activities inclusive of a Public Forum.
Only the identities of Final Candidates will be made public. Early December Final Candidate s moving forward in the process will have an opportunity to meet in-person with the Governing Board.
