UTSA has a streamlined application process, and our admissions counselors are standing by to help you with a wide range of services and materials. Certain majors have additional requirements to be admitted directly into the academic program. Review our major pages to see if there are any additional requirements. Students who are admitted to the university are not guaranteed admission to a specific academic program. Neither score is preferred more than the other. Submit an application either through ApplyTexas or Common App.
Please submit only one application per term. ApplyTexas is the Texas public university application platform that allows you to apply to multiple Texas public universities through one portal. UTSA is also available on the Common App, a national application platform that allows students to apply to multiple participating universities across the United States through one portal.
You can pay your fee when applying or after you submit your application through the myUTSA Admissions portal. Please allow business days after applying to receive your myUTSA account activation information.

Eligible freshmen applicants who demonstrate financial need can submit an application fee waiver to cover the application fee. A submission does not mean your fees are waived. You must first be eligible and submit the correct documentation to support your request. If your fee waiver request is denied, you will be required to pay the application fee. International, Transfer, Readmits, Special Undergraduate, and graduate applicants are not eligible for application fee waivers.
All transcripts and documents must be received by the admission deadline not postmarked for your application to be processed. Please note that processing times from the institution or agency sending your documents may take several weeks so students should plan accordingly to meet admission deadlines.
