A list of banned websites at the Department of Health and Social Care shows multiple attempts to visit Pornhub and a dominatrix school. Only Fans, where people set up profiles to charge for online content, also appears on the list, with 15 filtered-out attempts to view explicit content.

Thousands of attempts were also made to visit betting websites, including those belonging to the major gambling firms. In some instances, the hXXp prefix has been used in URLs, showing the user made a specific decision to access a link.

The firewall also stopped attempts to visit businesses selling guns and accessories. These include a shop in Kent and a major UK online portal selling rifles for shooting and countryside sports. The list of 15, blocked requests, between January 1, and December 31, , has been released by the Department of Health under the Freedom of Information Act.
