H utchinson Police Services reported the following incidents:. While reporting to the disturbance, officers made contact with Amanda Jean Burandt, 34, of Hutchinson, and another man from Hutchinson. Police determined the disturbance to be a verbal argument, and no assault occurred. A Hutchinson Parks worker reported damage to the fishing dock involving purple spray paint.
There were no suspects. The Ram had the right of way. There were no injuries and minor damage to the vehicles. Lund was cited for failure to yield. The Equinox collided with a Ford Ranger driven by Jonathan William Edwards, 43, of Hutchinson, who was southbound on Highway 15 and had a steady green light signal.
Both vehicles had moderate functional damage and Hansen was cited for failure to yield the right of way. At p. Martinson said his vehicle was stopped and that his foot slipped off the brake pedal and hit the accelerator by accident, causing his vehicle to drive forward. Police responded to a report of theft at Buffalo Wild Wings parking lot. An employee reported an uncovered manhole, and an officer was unable to find the missing manhole cover, which is believed to be stolen. A Yamaha XVS motorcycle driven by Brandon Lee Knake, 31, of Hutchinson, was southbound on State Highway 15 when an unidentified white pickup driven by an unidentified person was westbound on Freemont Avenue and took a left turn to go southbound on Highway The two vehicles nearly collided, but Knake swerved to avoid a collision.
Knake had injuries that were not life threatening, and the driver of the other vehicle left the scene. The investigation is ongoing, pending further suspect information.
