Studies include intensive courses in human anatomy and physiology, kinesiology, massage theory and practice, and clinical injury and treatment. This consists of the completion of a health history questionnaire, palpation, a range of motion examination, and an interview.
Treatment goals are determined at this time. A summary of the initial evaluation is sent to the referring provider. Privacy is always respected and modestly preserved. Patients may wear a gown, undergarments or comfortable clothing that reveals only the area s needing treatment. Patients are draped appropriately in private rooms. Referring providers and patients should feel free to discuss the treatment plan with the therapist at any time. Status updates are forwarded regularly to the referring provider to ensure all parties remain informed regarding each patient's progress.
