The BBC favourite encountered his future spouse, marketing executive Hannah Summers, at Wentworth Golf Club in Surrey back in , and the pair went on to wed five years later. Anton has previously shared that they feared they might never have children due to her struggle with endometriosis. However, fortune smiled upon them, and shortly after their nuptials, they welcomed twins George and Henrietta through successful IVF treatment. Before embarking on marriage and parenthood, Anton confessed to being a highly "driven" person, a trait his wife summarised with stark honesty.
In conversation with The Times, the year-old revealed: "My wife used to call me 'an island of an individual'. My life used to be about me. I was driven to do what I wanted to do, better," reports Birmingham Live.
He reflected on how becoming a father shifted his priorities, stating: "But when I had children, it changed from focusing on me to being focused on us. If you can't take on the responsibility, you shouldn't have children in the first place. It would have been the wrong time for me to have children when I was younger. Anton embarked on his dancing journey at 14 and went on to clinch the New Zealand dance championships twice alongside Erin Boag.
He holds the title of Strictly's longest-serving professional dancer, having competed in 18 series and made it to the final twice, before ascending to the judging panel in Anton Du Beke, the cherished Strictly Come Dancing judge, resides in Buckinghamshire with his wife Hannah and their twin seven year olds. However, he recently opened up about the couple's challenging journey to becoming parents.
