Some of the profiles were overt about their financial motivation, with statements like: 'help me out when times are tough', 'I'm a student and in need of extra cash', and 'need some help with rent and bills'.
Over a thousand men in Edinburgh have signed up to use the website, and the majority of the profiles are men who are over 45 years old. His profile says he works in the financial sector, and that he is 'looking for solace'.
