A year-old man and two minors were arrested early Monday morning in Meridian after a shooting in West Boise sent two people to the hospital, one with a life-threatening injury. Daniel Alaniz Pineda, of Meridian, was booked into the Ada County Jail on suspicion of five felonies: two counts of aggravated battery, with an enhancement for use a deadly weapon, and two counts of robbery.
The two boys were each booked on suspicion of felony robbery, Boise police said in a news release. The shooting happened in the block of North Cole Road in Boise a little after 10 p. Sunday, police said.
The victims, an adult male and adult female, confronted the three suspects, and police allege Alaniz Pineda shot at them while they were in their vehicle.
The adult male suffered a life-threatening injury, and the adult female a non-life-threatening injury, police said. Both were transported to an area hospital. The roads around the Meridian home, and those around the area where the shooting took place on Cole Road in Boise, have reopened to traffic. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents led Sai Pavuluri out of his Northwest Side home in handcuffs, he turned to look at the camera crew recording his arrest.
