The Moscow Zoo has now eight webcams in pandas' houses installed. Live stream from the Chinese Fauna pavilion, which has recently been inhabited by bamboo bears Ru Yi and Ding Ding, is to start on 1 July. Watch the life of pandas in a special section on the official Zoo website. Cameras have been installed so that Ru Yi and Ding Ding could be observed from different perspectives. Now the preparations to start the stream and testing the equipment are underway. At the same time with the live stream from the Chinese Fauna pavilion, bush dogs and maned wolves webcams are to start streaming.
In Russia, only Moscow Zoo boasts giant pandas. Animals have been transferred for temporary maintenance from China. They will live at the Zoo for 15 years. So far, the animals have been settling into there new home, getting used to their spacious cages and visitors' attention. For guests' convenience, the Moscow Zoo has made a special visiting schedule for the Chinese Fauna pavilion. During the first two hours after the Zoo's opening, am till am, you may visit bears without prior registration.

Giant pandas live in some provinces of China, in particular in Shaanxi, Gansu, Sichuan, and in Tibet. Male adults can weigh up to kg, with their body length being 1. In the wild, every animal has its separate area. Males and females meet for a short period to have their young. Pandas eat bamboo. At Moscow Zoo, they also have carrots, apples and special grain cookies baked at the Zoo. Life expectancy of pandas kept at zoos can reach 30 years or more.
