Nancy is a licensed massage therapist and a graduate of the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy She offers a variety of bodywork session options which include: Manual Lymph Drainage , massage for relaxation, Oncology Massage , or a combination of massage techniques.
Nancy is also a Reiki master practitioner and was initiated into the Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki tradition, gratefully honoring the healing lineage of Usui, Hayashi, Takata, Gray, and Kinch.
Having begun practicing Kriya yoga meditation in , she found working with the human energy field and its anatomy to be a natural fit for her professionally, emotionally, and spiritually. She is particularly interested in, and suited to, working with clients who are perhaps a bit more fragile than most. She has worked with critically ill patients providing palliative care, and in a nursing home setting with disabled patients. As an Oncology Massage Therapist, she is qualified to work with clients who have been, or are currently being treated for cancer , particularly breast cancer.
Additionally, she provides MLD follow-up care for those who are experiencing post-surgical edema, especially after cosmetic surgery. Nancy is keenly aware that therapeutic touch has the power to help us feel more at home in our bodies and more connected in our lives.
