The game came with a cannon, a ballista, and two catapults. You set up your pieces and then you and your opponent took turns firing little plastic red balls at each others defenses. The castle had ramparts held together with rubber bands, and when you hit the windows where the rubber bands were anchored the ramparts would explode, and send the people sitting atop them flying. There were also walls that exploded on impact, and you could knock the gate apart by hitting it enough times, giving you a clear shot through the gate and at the 'king'.
The rebel fort had some similar effects, but instead of things flying apart you would simply launch your opponents into the air. Does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about? More options. The castle was really well put together with two towers connected by a giant wall with a gate in the middle and behind the castle was another tower, in which the king lay.
