The FSS Program is designed to assist participants in developing strategies to increase their financial stability and move forward on a path towards economic stability. Each participant establishes a set of personal goals, which may include:.
The FSS Staff will work directly with each participant in establishing these goals and then assist in locating supportive services and resources that will help in achieving these goals and leading to self-sufficiency. One advantage of the FSS Program is the Fall River Housing Authority will establish an interest-bearing escrow account when a participant has an increase in their earned income. The FSS Staff will work one on one with each individual and family to identify and work on obstacles on the way to self-sufficiency.
