He died age 21 in and had been a pilot in the RAF since , he must have started very young. If you go to the Squadron Operation Record Books at the National Archives you should be able to trace his movements backwards from the date of his loss.

Y Primrose, had another look at the rear of the photo and what I took as "A" it is a "H".. You're more than welcome :- Yes it's the same Bob Doe, he was supposed to have been 'resting' at Hawarden but he chortled when telling me one story involving beer, a revolving door and any unfortunate caught in it having their trousers pinched and hoisted up the flagpole outside so I'm not sure how much resting was done!
