Mumsnet has not checked the qualifications of anyone posting here. Many Mumsnetters experiencing domestic abuse have found this thread helpful: Listen up, everybody. I tried bumble out, BC before Covid , and it wasn't a total cesspit. This year, I've only heard awful things.
I'm thinking of dipping my toe back in the dating pool. What's the best app? Or should I avoid like the plague. I've just gone back on bumble and it's way better than during the pandemic I try to go for elegant photos and a positive vibe and am attracting similar serious seeming professional men some of whom have kids too but not all do. I don't have time to keep up with all the conversations at the moment!
Make sure your photos are elegant and get someone to take more - Avoid drinking filters Halloween costumes etc. By which I mean it is the least awful, of course. What type of guys race, height, salary, eye colour, age do you go for? If you want a tall white guy with blue eyes that is going to be hard to get regardless of what dating apps you use as those guys are extremely desirable by women.
She is petite, blond and very attractive and has been on plenty of dates but nothing has stuck past a few dates. So I am not sure there is any difference at the end of the day. Indifferentchickenwings what specifically is depressing if you do not mind me asking.

Make your profile very clear in terms of what you're looking for. Be honest. Don't waste time texting for days or weeks, arrange dates quickly. Meet for coffee for a first date. And date lots of people simultaneously.
