Now the year-old, who has a wife and child in China and had overstayed his visa, is likely to be deported to his homeland after serving his sentence.
Richard Posner, prosecuting, told Swindon Crown Court that neighbours had told police they thought the premises had been used for prostitution for about 15 months. He said officers kept a watch on the building, a converted garage called the Coach House, and saw the door being answered by east Asian women. On the evening of Thursday, October 26 last year they looked on as an elderly white man visited, and when he left they stopped him and he told them why he was there.
He said there were two east Asian women in underwear and a room downstairs had been divided up with a sheet hanging from the ceiling.
On one side was a sofa and on the other a bed along with a cabinet containing condoms and other items. He said there was a similar set up on the first floor and it was clear that the premises had been converted to sell sexual services.
Both women were questioned and neither claimed to have been trafficked, one saying she was the defendant's girlfriend. On his phone the police found numerous pictures of oriental women in erotic poses and he also had a preloaded credit card used to advertise the establishment online. Mr Posner said that the phone evidence also suggested that different women had been at the house over the four-week period.
